Dave Talbot - Adventure Events, Charity Abseils, Mountain Guiding

I help people find adventures through passion in the outdoors. A connection to adventure and the great outdoors is inside all of us. Nobody grows old living a number of years, people grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. My mission is to bring people back to their adventurous self and discover what can be achieved.

I was brought up in the small village of Tytherington just north of Bristol. Here I developed my love for the outdoors - working on farms, riding mountain bikes and generally getting into trouble. At the age of 7, I went on my first family skiing holiday to the famous ski resort of Kitzbühel in Austria. I remember breaking away from my parents field of view and taking the lift to the top of the world cup downhill racing ski slope - the Hahnenkamm. I decided to ski down this in a mach 10 snow-plough - wildly out of control, but with a smile from ear to ear. From that moment on the mountains, adventures, skiing and personal challenges would be a part of my daily life.

I joined the Scouts and learned more about the natural environment - going on expeditions and camping trips around the UK. In my teenage years, I raced motocross at a high level before a bad injury led me to the decision to start rock climbing. At 18, I decided not to study architecture at university, but to instead follow my heart and passion, and work in the outdoor industry.

I am qualified adventure consultant and adventure professional with over 19 years of experience in the industry having worked across the globe for organisations, charities and brands - bringing world class events and experiences to all.
